ST. KABIR WINS AGAINST CN VIDYALAYA BY 10 WICKETS

St Kabir beat CN by 10 wickets (Ahmedabad Mirror Bureau)

Mayank Patel takes 9 wkts to rout opposition

In the Dhirubhai Ambani U-16 School Multiday Tournament held at Motera cricket ground, St Kabir school beat C N Vidhyalay by 10 wickets to win the match. Electing to bat after winning the toss, St Kabir scored 349 in the first innings, with Shantanu Sharma topscoring with 79 runs and Shrey Parsana scoring 63 runs.But the icing in the cake was Mayank Patel who routed the opposition with his accurate bowling by claiming 4 wickets in the first innings and 5 in the second.

CN Vidhyalay was bundled out for 135 in the first innings and 221 in the second innings. The batsmen who stood tall amidst the ruins were Naishil Sharma who scored 116 runs in the second innings and 77 by Hirmil Patel in the first.

St Kabir needed just 8 runs to wrap up the match which they did with no loss.
