Krish Sharma was the star of the show as his all-round display powered St Kabir School (SKS) to edge out JL High School (JLHS) by virtue of the first innings lead in multiday under-14 HC Kapasi School Tournament at Motera C.
Electing to bat, Krish’s 84-ball 67 added some impetus to the innings as SKS posted 275 in the first innings.
Pranshu Badheka (108-ball 53) and Jay Nimje (116-ball 46) also chipped in with useful runs.
For JLHS, Zeel Valand took three wickets.
Krish then returned to haunt the rivals with the ball as he ran through JLHS batting to pick eight wickets.
Harshil Raikwad waged a lone battle with an unbeaten 109-ball 47 as JLHS were bowled out for 105 — deficient of 170 runs.
With the fate of the match sealed, SKS opted for some batting practice as they posted 126 for five in the second innings before the end of the play.
Krish once again top scored with 91-ball 76 while Jugal Chawla added 122-ball 39. For JLHS, Zeel again took three wickets.
