St. Kabir Registers a Convincing Win Vs. Diwan Ballubhai School – U-16 Cricket
Mayank Patel shone with the ball before the batsmen fired in unison as St Kabir School (SKS) beat Diwan Ballubhai Madhyamik Shala (DBMS), Kankaria by virtue of the first innings lead in multi-day under-16 Dhirubhai Ambani School Tournament on Monday. Hrushil Desai (239-ball 87) and Varun Joshi (119-ball 55) scored overtly cautious half-centuries as DBMS posted 257 in the first innings after electing to bat at Gujarat College ‘B’ ground. For SKS, Mayank thrived in limelight with five wickets. SKS batsmen then occupied the centrestage as half-centuries from Dhruvin Purohit (76 from 104 balls) and Satyam Yadav (53 from 120 balls) helped them to take the deciding first innings lead. Akshat Bhavsar (115-ball 45) and Kishan Yadav (49-ball 44) also added crucial runs as SKS posted 262 for eight in reply to settle the issue. For DBMS, Rishi Panchal took three wickets.
