ST KABIR REACHES SEMI FINAL OF UNDER-16 CRICKET TOURNAMENT

St Kabir School (SKS) overcame Vijaynagar Education Society (VES) by tossing of coin in the under-16 multi-day Dhirubhai Ambani School Tournament held at Gujarat College ‘B’ ground on Tuesday. VES started strong after electing to bat. Meet Patel shined with a brilliant 125-ball 70 while Devarsh Gajjar added another 175-ball 65 to take the score to 282 all-out in 119.3 overs. For SKS, Rajvir Marwa took five wickets for 87. SKS replied in style. Riding on Shantanu Sharma’s unbeaten 100- ball 60 and Kishan Yadav’s quick 71- ball 50, SKS put up a score of 197/6 in 67 overs before the day was called off. A decision of spinning the coin was then taken, following the draw. SKS won the toss to claim the victory.
