KABIRIANS VISITED INSTITUTE OF PLASMA RESEARCH….

Learning does not only take place within the four walls of the classroom. As a matter of fact, learning can also occur in the form of field trip. This can help students to actively involve in the learning activity which in turn can enhance their knowledge and change their attitude towards learning. To fulfil such goal of educational field trip, on 3rd August 2023, students of class XI science of St. Kabir School,  Drive In A Block along with two teachers visited Institute of Plasma Research, Gandhinagar.

The objectives of the trip was to get to know about the fourth state of matter – PLASMA. Students were guided by two scientific officers, who explained in details about the Fundamentals of Plasma Physics. They saw the various hand-on experiments of Plasma. Students were privileged to see the indigenously made Superconducting Study State Tokamak (SST-1). This is one of the very few steady state tokamaks in the world, operating with massive superconducting magnets made of Niobium –Titanium alloy which can be cryogenically cooled by liquid Helium at 4.5 K.

The trip was successful and students learned something new and beneficial from the aspect  of knowledge.
