KABIRIANS CELEBRATE WORLD HEPATITIS DAY….

World Hepatitis Day takes places every year on 28th July by bringing the world together under a single theme to raise awareness of the global burden of viral hepatitis and to influence real change.

The date of 28th July was chosen because it is the birthday of Nobel-prize winning scientist Dr Baruch Blumberg, who discovered hepatitis B virus (HBV) and developed a diagnostic test and vaccine for the virus.

The theme of 2023 was ‘We’re not waiting’. Dr. Falguni Iyer, a general physician from Shalby Hospital was invited by the school who spoke on various health issues related to Hepatitis and also how to take preventive measures from such diseases.

It was indeed an eye opener.
