CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY AT ST. KABIR SCHOOL

As rightly said…Yoga is a great practice for both the body and the mind, it offers peace and mindfulness to its lovers and helps them get through daily stress.
International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st June every year. It was introduced by our honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. It aims to provide mental health fitness, physical health fitness of mind, body and soul. It also rejuvenates our body and keeps us calm.
St. Kabir School Drive In also celebrated International Yoga day with a lot of enthusiasm. Kabirians performed different activities like clay modelling, poster making , slogan writing, paper bag making on the theme yoga, mass yoga display, a talk arranged by an eminent yoga teacher on the benefits of yoga, skit on International yoga day etc. to celebrate the 8th International Yoga Day.
A quiz on yoga was also conducted and even the teachers performed various asanas to bring harmony between the mind and the body.
Our main aim was to promote enhanced mental and physical health, make the students aware of Yoga’s holistic benefits and to assist students to connect with nature while practising Yoga daily.
The children understood the importance of yoga. They learnt Yoga techniques for self-health, relaxation and concentration which will help them to navigate life’s challenges with a little more ease. They were indeed motivated to make yoga an important part of their lives.
