BHAVATU BHARATAM” – A Tribute to Indian culture & ancient scriptures at St. Kabir School

St. Kabir School organized the eleventh edition of “Bhavatu Bhaaratam, Interschool Quiz competition” on Saturday, 9th December 2023. Themed around the pristine tapestry of diversity and heritage inherent in our rich culture, the event witnessed participation from twenty one reputed schools of Ahmedabad. The quiz, diligently curated and conducted by Creative Advisor Ms. Preeti Bhatt, explored sacred texts and literature, deities, and the foundational aspects of our ancient civilization. The welcome address, delivered in Sanskrit by St. Kabir School students, set the cultural tone, complemented by a meaningful dance on the ‘Guru Ashtakam’  written by the revered  Aadi Shankaradcharya showing timeless elegance. The competition aimed to determine participants’ comprehension of the illustrious Indian Culture and ancient scripture, exploring the diversity that define our heritage.

The quiz commenced with a preliminary round featuring active participation by 42 teams of 21 schools. From this pool, six finalists emerged, earning the opportunity to advance further in the competition. The quiz unfolded across a variety of six innovative rounds including a unique segment exclusively devoted to Maharshi Ved Vyaas.  Much to the delight of the audience in one of the rounds the accompanying teachers of the finalists were also asked to take part as a team.

The quiz bound significant facets of diverse culture that originated and thrived in our nation, contributing to the splendour of our cherished motherland. Time to time, the audiences were also made to actively participate in interesting activities related to our culture, traditions and scriptures through audience polls.  St. Kabir School secured the Bhavatu Bhaaratam champion’s position, while Udgam School emerged as the runners-up.

The prestigious Bhavatu Bhaaratam champion’s trophy was presented by Mrs. Shubhra Kumar, the Director of St. Kabir School. The School is committed to hosting “Bhavatu Bhaaratam” annually, ensuring that young learners from various schools continue to be immersed in the splendour and cultural heritage of India through exposure to its rich legend.
