HELPING HANDS WITH EMPATHETICAL SMILES!!

We Kabirians were privileged to visit the Blind People’s Association on 4th Jan 2023 which also coincided with the “World Braille Day”.

The objective of the visit was to make students understand the power of empathy and also to make them aware of that section of society who in spite of their disabilities live their lives with self-confidence and dignity.

Our eyes are a precious gift of God and we cannot imagine our lives without being able to see and experience this beautiful world. The visit made us realise the importance of this gift when we visited dark room where it was pitch dark and we had to find our way through. However, inspite of all the hardships, it was heartening to see how the blind people carried out their day to day activities with so much of positivity, enthusiasm and willpower without any regrets in life. It is said that frailty brings out the best in a person and this is what we witnessed from the visit.

The students in the association had excelled in various sports activities like football, javelin throw and weightlifting. To promote these students St. Kabir School along with students took the initiative to donate various fitness items to achieve their dreams and to bring a ray of hope in their lives. The students of our school also did various performances like singing, playing the piano that brought a smile on their faces. Just to end would like to say happiness lies in little things and we really need to be grateful to God for all his blessings.
