KABIRIANS TRIP TO ISRO…..

Science is for those creative minds that believe ‘Nothing is impossible to a willing heart’. We, Indians have been exposed to the various developments in science all over the world but we fall behind because of the wide gap between theoretical and practical knowledge built by our education system.

Bridging this gap and arming our children with the right skill set, St. Kabir School Drive In had taken the initiative to take the students of Std. VI on a field trip to Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on 11th October 2022.

There was a guided tour for the students to learn about various aspects of operations of ISRO in order to promote children’s interest in space, rockets, the Earth and life itself, and to nurture human resources that can shoulder future space development.

The children were quite delighted to learn about the types of satellites and their functioning, the way the rockets are launched which included India’s first successful journey to the moon – ‘Mangalyaan’, India’s upcoming programs, and so on.  They even enjoyed watching a short movie on how satellites are launched, which was quite inspiring.

The resource person at ISRO interacted with the students and explained the finer details about the operations of the Space Applications Centre.  The students asked many intellectual questions which were answered accurately by the resource person.

It enriched the students’ knowledge and they gained a deeper understanding of space and its operations more than a book could ever convey.
