Young and budding naturalistic Kabirians!

The team from Sundervan, consisting of 2 experts- Mr. Shivkumar and Ms. Sevanti visited St Kabir on 14th July.It was the opening session for Young Naturalist Club of 51 students, ranging from classes VI-VIII.

   In this session, students were addressed about insects and their different characteristics, and special features. They also elucidated on how insects play a vital role in our ecosystem. Apart from this, they shed some light on the myths surrounding insects, and shared some amazing facts too, which enthralled the students more!

  Some samples of preserved exoskeleton of insects were displayed. Students also enjoyed amazing video clips shown by them. 

   At the end of session, a big chart of insects was distributed to all the students along with some research task to be done as project work.

   All the participants enjoyed this session a lot. According to the students, these types of sessions would help them to know our amazing nature closely, making them more sensible and empathetic towards it.
