WAVE OF PATRIOTISM AT DRIVE IN OLD!

Republic Day Celebrations were held at St. Kabir-DIO branch with great fervor. A proud moment when the Constitution of India came into existence is celebrated as the Indian Republic Day on 26 January every year. The entire country celebrates the day with utter enthusiasm and patriotism. The tricolor was unfurled by the Head Mistress Pragya Ma’am and Rosy Ma’am. Students and teachers sang National Anthem with great pride and enthusiasm. To mark the auspicious celebrations, a range of events from speech to dance took place. The celebration began with talking about how far India has come and what progress we have made, after being freed from the clutches of the British Rule. We also remembered the sacrifice made by the great freedom fighters. Republic Day Celebrations had started from 25th January. We had special assembly in which students were dressed up like our freedom fighters. Students of class 4th spoke about the spirit of Republic Day this was accompanied by the medley of patriotic songs sung by the students which made the allegiance in the environment even stronger. The program was concluded by an energetic dance performance by the students of VIII std. With republic day celebration we also celebrated 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi ji. Even as we all know that Gandhiji had realation with South Africa, on his 150th birth Anniversary Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modiji invited President of South Africa in celebration of 70th Republic Day of India.
“VANDE MATARAM! WE SALUTE OUR ARMED FORCES.”
