VACCINATION DRIVE at ST. KABIR SCHOOL, NARANPURA

India has launched one of the world’s largest vaccination campaign against measles, a major childhood killer disease, and congenital rubella syndrome (CRS), responsible for irreversible birth defects. St Kabir School Naranpura hosted one such campaign for their students. The campaign across India aimed to vaccinate more than 35 million children in the age group of nine months to 15 years with MR (measles and rubella) vaccine.

It demonstrates India’s commitment to improve health and well-being of its people by protecting children against vaccine preventable diseases. According to the doctors present, it was a mop up round to eradicate the diseases as it was done for the Polio eradication drive. All the students right from the Intro level to Std XII got themselves vaccinated.

Parents took the initiative enthusiastically and were present with their wards for vaccination. The students were also given ORS water after vaccination. After the vaccination, there were no reports regarding any uneasiness among the students, and with this the vaccination drive was successful in vaccinating a large number of students.

Let’s look forward to a better and healthy India ahead with a 100% eradication of fatal diseases such as Measles and CRS.
