Students Appeal for ‘Vyasan Mukti’ on ‘Gandhi Jayanti’

Students of St. Kabir School, Naranpura celebrated Gandhi Jayanti today in the school. The celebration constituted two skits based on the themes- ‘Swachhata against Tobacco Spittle & Secularism’, a patriotic song on Gandhi, speeches depicting Gandhian principles and philosophy. The students appealed to all to shun polythene bags and use cloth bags instead. The students took a pledge to maintain cleanliness of self and surroundings which is the need of the hour.

The highlight of the celebration was the skit on ‘Tobacco Spittle’. It not only depicted Tobacco spittle as the most prominent aspect of the unclean surroundings in India but also explained tobacco as the chief cause for oral cancer. The characters of the play portrayed the problem skilfully & creatively. They appealed to people to quit tobacco in all its forms and lead healthy & hygienic life thus.
