ST KABIR DIO VISITS TRAFFIC PARK

Safety Requires Teamwork, Be Part of Our Team

FIELD TRIP VENUE : TRAFFIC PARK (LAL DARWAJA)
CLASS : II A, B AND C
DATE : 30/11/2019
Parents accompanied the students

School children are one of the most vulnerable categories of road users. At the same time they are the ones who can be easily made to learn the use of road and transportation in a safe manner. Unlike grown-ups, children can be easily moulded and what they learn at this stage remains in their mind forever. Keeping this in mind, St. Kabir School, Drive In Old, organized a field trip to Traffic Park for the students of classes II on Saturday 30th November 2019.

The objective of the trip was to educate the children on various Traffic Rules. The children were accompanied by school teachers and parents. On reaching their destination, the children, after taking a round, were updated by a concerned authority about various road signs and traffic rules that one needs to follow when on road. The children grasped the information with utmost interest.

The students of classes II were made aware of various aspects related to road safety specially the importance of traffic lights and zebra crossings. The Traffic Park is equipped with traffic signals, road signs, small roads and road crossings and thus the children enjoyed learning about the various aspects of road safety in a play way method.
They also watched a short film about the safety measures to be adopted by the citizens to keep themselves safe on the roads. They also saw miniature buildings, a petrol pump Over bridge, and under bridge. They realized that following traffic rules is a perquisite for becoming a responsible citizen of the country.

Later they were given access to cycling on the prescribed path following the traffic rules they learnt. They enjoyed the cycling a lot.

Not only students, teachers as well as parents had hands over cycles. They too re-lived their childhood while cycling.

Overall, it was an interesting and exciting experience for the students with the idea of following road safety rules and wish that as the future mature citizens of India, they will respect these traffic rules, follow them and break no law and contribute in making our India a safer and much better place to live in.

It was indeed a learning experience for the students.
