Patriotism at its peak at St.Kabir, Navrangpura on Independence day

 Students of St. Kabir, Navrangpura were caught up in the spirit of patriotism and celebrated 71st Independence Day with great fervor on August 15, 2017. The ceremony started at 8:00 AM in the school’s open ground with large crowd of staff and students.

The National Flag was unfurled by Head Mistress – Dr. Renu Srivastava. Students and teachers sang the national Anthem with great pride and honour. To mark the celebrations, an assemblage of events took place ranging from patriotic songs to dances. Dhruv Gupta of Class IX shared his views on the significance of the day where students of Std. VII enhanced the spirit of patriotism by singing patriotic songs. Students of Std. I presented beautiful song and showcased their talent by dressing up as national heroes like Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Indira Gandhi.  A group of teachers sang few Patriotic songs which awakened everyone’s feelings towards our Mother Land. The program was ended on the lighter note of a beautiful and energetic dance performance by Primary students.

Students were urged by the Head Mistress to work hard and contribute in Nation building and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom. Indeed, it was a perfect day of joy, a day to love and respect our country.
