OUTDOOR KNOWLEDGE ACQUISITION BY THE NARANPURA KABIRIANS

Learning beyond school walls is learnt for always. From St. Kabir School, Naranpura, students of grade VII had an educational trip to Step Well of Adalaj, Dandi Kutir and Vidhan Sabha.

At the Adalaj Vav, students learnt about the implications of the beautiful step well in today’s time. They observed the wonderful architectural style of the structures built by the Vaghela dynasty during the 15th century. The students appreciated the great Indian heritage at this place. They understood the grandeur and splendor of the Indian culture and heritage. They could feel the pride over Ahmedabad getting the status of World Heritage City by UNESCO.

At Dandi Kutir in Gandhinagar, children took the entire tour with the help of audio visual guide and learnt about the life and role of Mahatma Gandhi in the freedom struggle of India. Furthermore, they learnt about the Gandhian Principles which will help them to become great human beings and follow the ethics and principles to live a peaceful and harmonious life and succeed in all aspects. Students also understood that the striking use of technology is one of the major reasons behind the huge turnout of visitors at the Dandi Kutir.

Later during the day, they also visited the Gujarat Vidhan Sabha and had first hand learning about the functioning of the legislative assembly. They satisfied their queries about the governance and law making. The resource persons at the Vidhan Sabha as well as the school teachers explained at length the role and responsibilities of the ministers as well as the MLAs. They understood the importance of the Speaker in the house. The students were awed at the fact that the mobile network is jammed during the assembly sessions so that nobody can talk to and from the Vidhan Sabha.

It was an enriching educational trip that included places of historical significance, patriotic and ethical value imbibing.

MAY THE LEARNING EXPERIENCES HELP THEM GROW AS RESPONSIBLE FUTURE OF THE NATION!!
