Little Kabirains Interacting with the Community Helpers

 “YOU HAVE TWO HANDS;  One to help yourself , other to help others”

Little Kabirians were all decked up in the outfits of different Community Helpers early in the morning at 8.00 am on 19th July, 2017 for their theme project.  A small session of Oral Health and Hygiene was conducted by Dr. Jinal before this theme project presentation. Dr. Jinal explained the students about the dental care and also gave them few tips on how to take care of their teeth. She explained them about the different kind of dental flosses which are easily available in the market and guided them how to use it through Power Point Presentation and different models.

This dental care session was followed by the theme based project on Community Helpers and cleanliness which was done to develop a better understanding about different Community Helpers of our society and the roles they play and how they help us in our daily life.  Each member of the community plays certain role that contributes their services to the society. Our little Kabirains showcased how the community helpers help us in different ways and the services they offer to us. Dr. Renu Srivastava- Head Mistress explained the importance of community helpers and also the dignity of labour. Invited parents were welcomed with roses by Dipanshi Parikh of IB and Manya Desai of IA with the assistance of Class Teacher Sonali Bajaj. This was followed by a brief introduction about the community helpers by Jr. Supervisor- Ms. Deepa Hirnandani and the teacher Jinal Virani. The students were introduced to the helpers of the school like the Watchman, Sweeper and the Maids. They interacted with students and explained their duties and the problems they face while work. Further few questions were asked by Anjali Lodaya to the guards and aayas. They were gifted chocolates by the children as token of love .

A small fancy dress activity was organized in the school and through which students got to see what uniforms are worn by different community helpers and the tools they use. Participant students requested all to respect the helpers and speak politely to them.

The session ended with a positive note of parents’ feedback. The parents appreciated the value education provided by the school which helped their children to have better understanding of our Community helpers and their important role in our life.
