KABIRIANS HONORED IN SHLOKA CHANTING COMPETITION

Sanskrit language is the origin of many Indian regional languages and considered to be the most perfect language suitable even in this era of computer technology.

So Chinmaya Mission had taken the initiative by organizing Shloka Chanting Competition for the school children.

Since 3 or 4 years,  our school  St Kabir Drive In New Branch has been participating in the “Annual Chinmaya Geeta Shloka Chanting Competition”. This year also we took part in this competition.

Around 150 students participated in “Annual Chinmaya Geeta Sloka Chanting Competition 2017 (Chapter 17)”

Preliminary and semi final round was on 8th September 2017. There were 6 categories according to their standards.

The students learnt 1 to 25 shlokas of chapter 17 Bhagvat Geeta. The rounds were conducted in the school campus itself where the students spoke confidently thereby impressing the judges.

Five students from our school,  Shloka Patel of Std I A,  Jiya Shah of Std I B, Meghashree Prajapati  of Std.  I A, Krish Tandon of Std. II A,  Manya Patel of Std.  II C and Saira Mohanty of Std. V C were selected for the finals at Chinmaya Mission on 2nd October. The judges praised the efforts of each participant by honoring them with a certificate. 32 students who were selected for the semi finals were also appreciated for their efforts by giving them certificates.
