The museum carries information in 3 languages- Hindi, Gujarati and English for the aid of the visitors
First of all we were taken to the auditorium where a small documentary on Sardar Patel’s life was shown .Then after we moved to the photo gallery to learn and observe all about his childhood days ,his school life , his freedom struggle etc. We also gained knowledge about his youth, education and legal career, and his work as India’s home minister in integrating princely states into India. In one of the rooms into the palace, is where Patel’s personal effects are on display. These include his khadi kurta, jacket and dhoti, his shoes, slippers and European-style clothes from his younger days .
The best attraction of the museum is the INTERACTIVE SECTION where there is an interactive jail, interactive charkha and a time line depicting major events in Sardar Patel’s life is showcased. We were all fascinated by the technology used in this section Each & every piece of information related to Sardar Patel’s life was shared here with all of us .
Finally we all departed after seeing knowledgeable videos related to Sardar’s jail life and how he learnt Bhagwat Geeta advised by Mahatma Gandhi.
The purpose of the trip was to make children aware about our unforgettable history and never dying efforts of our freedom fighters. The students were able to realize how The Iron man of India and the Father of the nation fully dedicated their lives for the welfare of the people so that they could breathe in a free country forever & ever!!!!
