After breakfast everybody left for Fossil Park which was about 15km away from the Palace of Balasinor. Alia Babi, a Palaeontologist guided the students to the fossil site which is 65 million years old. There the students saw the fossils of two dinosaurs namely Rajasaures and Raiyolisaures. The students also visited the unique Dinosaur Museum where they learnt many interesting facts about the dinosaurs. The Dinosaur Museum had many rooms with highly developed audio- visual and 3D display. Our guide explained in detail about the various dinosaurs that once lived in India, especially Gujarat. The Indian subcontinent was once a home to dynamic species of dinosaurs. They were categorized on several bases such as herbivores, carnivores and omnivores. The students were shown an amazing 3D video which traced the history from the beginning till the extinction of the dinosaurs millions of years ago.

Ms Alia, the Paleontologist has a rare collection of some Dinosaur eggs.We were lucky enough to hold them in our hands. She explained that the eggs had 5-6 layers and each layer had pores in it. Our students Yash Patel and Meet Patel found Dinosaur fossils which are now kept in the museum.

Then we had our lunch at the Palace garden of the Nawabs of the bygone era. So the Kabirians were lucky to have a combo trip of heritage site, hitec museum and the rare Fossil site. Many students shared that the felt they were in Jurrassic Park with so many gigantic statues of Dinosaurs which looked real.
