Bend it like Kabirians !!!

oga isan ancient art that teaches us to connect the mind to the body, words to actions, and brings peace to the inner self. It is surely a journey of the self, through the self and to the self.

The students of St. Kabir School, Naranpura, celebrated 3rd International Yoga Day by trying their hands on doing yoga. The same yoga sequence was followed as the one decided by the government of India. They did asana in four stages: standing asanas such as Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Paad-hastasana, Ardh Chakrasana,Trikonasana, sitting asanas such as Bhadrasana, Shashank asana, Ardh-Ushtrasana, Vakrasana, sleeping on stomach asanas such as Bhujangasana, Shalabhasana, Makrasana, lying on back asana such as Setubandhasana, Pavanmuktasana, Shavasana. Along with asanas, Yoga also incorporates Pranayama, the breathing processes, that help in increasing the capacity of lungs and also curb many gastric problems. The students did Bhrahmari, Kapalbhati, Anulom-Vilom and Omkar which relaxed their mind and body. Concluding the session the students felt really fresh and they were very keen on doing yoga every day.
