5th INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY (DIO)

YOGA IS JOURNEY OF THE SELF, TO THE SELF, THROUGH THE SELF.

The International Day of Yoga is being celebrated every year on June 21 since 2015. Yoga is an ancient Indian practice and International Yoga Day provides a holistic approach to health and well-being. Across the globe, Yoga is considered as a way to staying physically and mentally healthy. Yoga has numerous proven health benefits; people are keen to make yoga a part of their daily routine. From Saudi Arabia to China, Bahrain, Serbia, Denmark, Singapore, Bhutan, Bahrain and so many other countries across the world are taking part inYoga Day celebrations

St.kabir School-Drive In Old Branch also celebrated the day  with much fervour and enthusiasm The day started with Prayer and invocation and our respected PM Modi’s address on the common yoga portal. The Kabirians  performed different Asanas like Tadasan, Kapalbhati, Bhadrasana, Bhujanga asana etc.The classes were bustling with activities like Essay writing,Slogan writing,  Drawing competition ,Yoga Quiz,Yoga through music, suryanamaskar etc

Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improves. Doing yoga, children exercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self, and develop an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. Yoga brings that marvelous inner light that all children have to the surface.

Children learn Yoga techniques for self-health, relaxation, and inner fulfillment; they can navigate life’s challenges with a little more ease. Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem and body awareness.

Yoga is a discipline that must be followed lifelong. PM Modi urged each and every one to perform Yoga every day for a sound body
